pfeg on the airwaves

Financial education has been a hot topic on the airwaves this week, after pfeg (Personal Finance Education Group) made the case for the need for financial education for young jobseekers on local radio stations across the country.

Tracey Bleakley, pfeg chief executive says: “School-leavers are entering adult life in extremely difficult economic times.  Too many young people are still struggling to find work – and the truth is that in many cases, we are making their problems worse by allowing them to leave school without the skills they need to manage their money well.”

Tracey and other members of the pfeg team have done a tour of local radio stations this week to raise awareness of the free support and advice that is available for teachers and anyone wanting to teach young people about money.

Here’s Tracey on BBC Radio Essex on Thursday morning (2hr 37mins in – available until Wednesday 12 December);

... and you can listen to the discussion on BBC Radio Kent (1hr 24mins in – available until Thursday 13 December)....

...and a great discussion with John Griff on BBC Radio Northampton (1hr 14mins in, available until Thursday 13 December)....
