Funder brief:
Aegon asked pfeg to carry out research in to the availability of financial education tools and resources linked to pensions and retirement. The result of the research showed that there was very little available to teachers and so pfeg were commissioned to develop an innovative and engaging resource for young people and teachers.

Using this resource, students drew on current and projected trends in the economy, population, health, leisure, technology and family life to imagine what their lives will be like in 40 or 50 years time.

The resource developed was a website that included interactive games and activities that teachers could use to bring the subject to life. It also included real-life video vox-pops of young people talking about how they view their future as well as an easy tool for teachers to upload new videos created by their students. News and Twitter feeds also ensured that teachers could easily source the latest information.

The resource also included; 6 activity sheets with different parts that teachers could mix and match to include in lessons and 4 lesson ideas that show how areas of the website can be built into a lesson.
